Should I go on disability? 12/15/2008
At some point with a disorder like Episodic Ataxia, the eventual question one has to ask him/herself is - Is it time to go on disability? This is a question that eats at the very core of who we are when we have a disorder that so dramatically affects our quality of life. You mention that caffeine and alcohol can bring on an attack. What about wheat or gluten? You commented that you had been out to dinner before a new years eve party and then had a severe attack. What did you eat, do you feel there is a link? I am in the process at the moment of exploring the link between what I eat and my own symptoms.
